Talk title: Pop, Fizzle, Bang: Case studies of the interactions between volcanoes and magma with the ocean
Rebecca’s bio: Rebecca’s research contributes to the knowledge and understanding of volcano-sedimentary processes and products and marine geoscience. Her research combines volcanology, sedimentology, geochemistry, petrology, marine geology and economic geology. Her ARC-funded projects have focused on investigating the spatio-temporal relationships among plumes, plate boundaries and eruption products in the offshore Eastern Australian context, volcanic eruption, plume and transport processes in subaerial and submarine environments, and exploring complexities in the volcanic architectures in modern and ancient settings.
